Black Panther Bob Brown in Leeds on 28th october

Bob Brown, founder of the Chicago Chapter of the Black Panthers, is coming to speak at the Leeds West Indian Centre on Monday 28th Oct 6-9.30pm.

‘Applying our history to our present for our future’

Angel of Youths warmly welcomes you to join us for a night filled with cultural celebration & inspirational talks from Black Panther Bob Brown.

This is a rare chance to hear him speak & ask questions about his experience in the Struggle and how we can learn from this today. 
He will be joined by Omowale Rupert, (Pan Afrikan Society Community Forum UK) Heather Nelson, (Black Health Initiative), Dr Carl Hylton (Chairperson of Leeds West Indian Centre Charitable Trust) and Marvina Babs-Apata (Angel of Youths).

Bob Brown celebrated 50 years of work, study and struggle in the student and youth, human and civil rights, national liberation and Black Power, Pan-African, socialist, anti-war and anti-draft, anti-zionist and anti-repression movements in August 2013.

With music & poetry from local artists.

Free – but donations to cover costs will be much appreciated.
