Devolution in England – a radical idea for now?

Here’s an event in the forthcoming Hannah Festival which might be of particular interest to Taking Soundings supporters –
Hannah Mitchell Foundation and Together for Peace (T4P) present:
Devolution in England: a radical idea whose time has come?

Carole Pattison, an experienced councillor and manager  in local government,  Leeds-based urban planner Ying Ho, and transport campaigner Paul Salveson (general secretary of the Hannah Mitchell Foundation) talk about returning real choices to local people and places. Max Farrar will respond and begin an open discussion.
The Hannah Mitchell Foundation aims to give a strong democratic voice to the North. The Foundation is inspired by suffragette and rebel Hannah Mitchell.
