THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ILL-HEALTH
The next TPWG meeting will be in Leeds on Feb 28th in the Beech Grove seminar room from 2 to 4. Hugo Radice will deliver a paper entitled ‘The Middle Classes: Workers, not Owners’.
The Conference of Socialist Economists (CSE) Trans-Pennine Working Group was set up by Werner Bonefeld, Hugo Radice, Greig Charnock and Stuart Shields. The group meets on a monthly basis at locations on the Trans-Pennine Express rail line. Meetings are organised around discussion of a pre-circulated paper, and are open to all interested. As a working group of the CSE the Trans-Pennine Working Group is an international, democratic membership organisation committed to developing a materialist critique of capitalism, unconstrained by conventional academic divisions between subjects.
This meeting is at the University of Leeds’s Beech Grove House Seminar Room. This is located in Beech Grove House (number 33 on the interactive campus map here:http://www.leeds.ac.uk/site/custom_scripts/campus_map.php.) Beech Grove House is the large sandstone building opposite the Students’ Union. Enter the building by the big blue door (opposite the grass) and the Seminar room is straight ahead at the end of the corridor.
