June 22, 2013 at 9:10pmRevisiting this discussion, I can’t help wondering if ‘slow food’ should be called ‘local food’ since the emphasis seems to be on local food, grown by small farmers, outside the ‘corporate food system’.
I’m curious why Geoff in particular should fall into the trap of fetishising distance in evaluating the production, distribution and consumption of food, or anything else.
