![]() Cara Tolmie: Wrangling Exercise Setting up a British first: The Pavilion women’s photography centre 21 November, 6-7.15pm ![]() Three participants – the Chair, Interviewer and Interviewee – will stage a dialogue around Pavilion’s roots as the UK’s first women’s photography centre. The participants will rotate roles throughout the event, with each person taking a turn to direct the conversation, to ask questions and to answer them. The form of the event reflects Pavilion’s early aim to constitute a new democratic structure operated by and for women. Participants include early members of the collective: Dinah Clark, Sue Ball and Sally Dawson. The location of the event, the former park pavilion on Woodhouse Moor (now Akmal’s Tandoori Bistro), housed Pavilion’s gallery and darkroom from 1983-96.
